Karachi Kings have yet again embarrassed themselves by continuing their trend of gifting weird gifts to the standout performer in the ongoing Pakistan Super League 2025 (PSL 2025). Recently, Karachi Kings gifted a hairdryer as a gift to James Vince for his match-winning century against Multan Sultans.
James Vince played a stunning knock of 101 runs from just 43 balls and helped Karachi chase down a huge target of 235 runs. But for his brilliant performance, Vince received a rather strange award — a hairdryer. The hairdryer was part of a sponsor’s giveaway for the 'most reliable player of the match.'
As soon as Vince was handed the hairdryer, he burst into laughter. After this, fans made fun of the Pakistan Super League and Karachi Kings for giving such a small and unusual gift to a player who played such an important knock. Social media was flooded with memes and funny comments about the weird prize given to the Englishman by the PSL franchise.

PSL 2025 turns into a salon as Hasan Ali gets a hair trimmer as a prize
Now, Hasan Ali got a hair trimmer for being the 'most reliable player of the match' during the PSL 2025 clash between Karachi Kings and Lahore Qalandars at the National Stadium on April 15. Hasan Ali finished with the impressive figures of 4/28 in his four overs, but his efforts were not enough as the Kings fell short of 65 runs while chasing 202 runs against Lahore Qalandars.
Even the Kings posted a video of Hasan Ali receiving a hair trimmer as a prize for his stunning bowling show on their social media handle. Before taking the gift, Hasan Ali can be hilariously seen asking whether it is useful to remove the hairs on his hand in the video.
They posted the video with the caption saying, “Acknowledgment and appreciation. Hassan Ali receives the Surf Excel #ZiddSeKhel Top Performer of the Match award for his fantastic performance.”

Karachi Kings suffer massive defeat after powerplay collapse
Meanwhile, defending 201 runs, Lahore Qalandars captain Shaheen Afridi gave his team a perfect start by taking two big wickets in the very first over, removing David Warner and James Vince for ducks. Tim Seifert struggled at the crease and was soon dismissed by Asif Afridi for just 18 runs.
After the powerplay, Rishad Hossain took charge and ripped through the middle order, sending back Shan Masood (18), Abbad Afridi (1), and Irfan Khan Niazi (6). Sikandar Raza also joined the party with a wicket of Arafat Minhas (0). Towards the end, Hasan Ali (27) and Khushdil Shah (39) added some quick runs with a few boundaries, but it wasn’t enough.
We lost the game in the powerplay: David Warner
After losing the game by 65 runs, the Karachi Kings captain David Warner said: "Losing those wickets in the powerplay, you’d probably still take the game on, but it didn’t work out. One of those games you forget about. If we didn’t get out to bad bowling, there are a lot of positives from it. Thought there would be a lot more dew; 200 was par. If we caught a bit better and bowled well, it would’ve been easier.”
