Australia skipper Pat Cummins is having an English summer to remember. The summer started with him leading Australia to their first-ever World Test Championship title with a thumping 209-run win over Team India.
The fast-bowler has now put Australia on the verge of winning the Ashes in England for the first time in over two decades. The team from Down Under has not won the iconic series in England since the 4-1 win in 2001. Pat Cummins has led the team from the very front and has his team 2-0 up.

In the first Test, his knocks of 38 and 44 not in addition to 4 wickets in the second innings helped Australia clinch a thrilling 2-wicket win. In the second Test too, he scored 33 runs and picked up 4 wickets as the visitors beat England by 43 runs to extend their lead in the series.
Pat Cummins’ savage reply to England:
Pat Cummins has been having a good time in England not only on the field but off the field as well. The Australia skipper has been giving some absolutely savage responses in his interviews. And he was at it again on Sunday (July 2) when he was addressing the reporters after the second Test.
In the wake of Jonny Bairstow’s controversial dismissal in the second innings of the game, an English reporter asked Cummins if his side would turn to underarm bowling or mankads in the upcoming games. Bairstow departed in a contentious manner after he was stumped by Alex Carey upon leaving the crease believing that the over was finished and the ball was dead.
Responding to the reporter’s question, Cummins came up with a hilarious reply. He straightaway refused to rule out the possibility of resorting to underarm bowling and mankads by saying that it would depend on how flat the wickets would get.
“Depends on how flat the wickets get. It might be an option to turn to,” said Cummins leaving the reporters in splits.
An English reporter had a ridiculous cop out by asking if we’re going to see under-arm bowling from Australia in this series.
