Harshit Rana made the headlines during the semi-final of the Emerging Asia Cup 2023 against Bangladesh A. The young India A pacer was all charged up as he gave an aggressive send-back to Soumya Sarkar.
The semi-final between India A and Bangladesh A saw an enthralling competition between bat and ball but more than that players of both teams were engaged in some heated battles. The Boys in Blue didn’t bat well and after their wickets, Bangladesh bowlers gave them a harsh send-off.
However, in the second innings, India gave it back to them and the main architect behind that was Harshit Rana. After Yuvraj Dodiya removed Soumya Sarkar for 5 runs, the young pacer gave a brutal send-off and this didn’t go well with Bangladesh’s batter.
Both Harshit Rana and Soumya Sarkar exchanged some words with each other before the other teammates intervened to separate them and calm things down. The umpires too stepped in and ultimately both the youngsters had to take a back step.

India A defeats Bangladesh A by 51 runs to make it into the finals
India A didn’t have a great start after they were asked to bat first. They lost quick wickets and were tumbling at 137/7. But skipper Yash Dhull led from the front and scored a vital 66-run knock under pressure. Abhishek Sharma too played a crucial knock at the top and scored 34 runs. Some handy contributions from lower order powered them to a total of 211 runs.
Bangladesh A had a decent start as they stitched over 70 runs for the opening partnership. But after that, Nishant Sindhu chipped in and picked a five-wicket haul.
Manav Suthar supported him well and took three wickets as the opposition lost 9 wickets for the last 66 runs. They were bundled out for 160 to lose the game by 51 runs.
