Jharkhand skipper Ishan Kishan has made a stunning return to the red-ball cricket after being out of the action. The keeper-batter made a comeback in the Buchi Babu tournament, organized by TNCA in the game against Madhya Pradesh on Thursday (15th August).

Ishan Kishan looked in terrific touch with the gloves behind the stumps. The keeper-batter took three brilliant catches and put his team at the top. The match between the two teams is taking place at the India Cements Limited Cricket Ground in Sankar Nagar and on Day 1, he hogged the headlines.

Kishan first took a brilliant catch to remove Chanchal Rathore in the 15th over the game. Pacer Vivekanand Tiwary bowled a delivery that caught the outside edge of the Chanchal Rathore's bat and the keeper-batter took a catch bending down on his left to remove the batter.

After that, Kishan took an easy catch to remove Shubham S Kushwah. Off-spinner Aditya Singh bowled a delivery that took off and caught the edge, which was caught by the keeper-batter. The batter scored 84 runs off 171 balls with the help of six fours and a six.

The best catch from Ishan Kishan was the third one which he took to remove Ramveer Gurjar. The batter got a feather and the keeper-batter made a full-stretch dive to his left to take the catch and remove the batter with his sensational effort.

Kishan's effort behind the stumps ensured that Jharkhand had a decent day with the ball. Madhya Pradesh finished the day at 225 for eight in 89.5 overs. Shubham Singh, Saurabh Shekhar, Vivekanand Tiwary, and Aditya Singh picked up two wickets each.

Kishan would now be keen to make an impact with the bat and make his return to red-ball cricket a memorable one. The game will be important for the keeper-batter as it along with the upcoming domestic season would be key for his India comeback.

Ishan Kishan to play in Duleep Trophy For India D

Kishan also has been picked by the Board of Control for Cricket in India for the Duleep Trophy. The keeper-batter has been named in the India D squad and will be playing under the leadership of Shreyas Iyer in the tournament, which is all set to take place from 5th September.

Ishan Kishan was terminated from the BCCI's annual contract after he denied playing in the domestic circuit and was even dropped from the Indian team. He was asked by the BCCI to play in the domestic circuit but despite multiple warnings by the BCCI as well as the team management, he didn't play.

Ishan Kishan reportedly was approached by the BCCI selectors who told him to feature in the domestic circuit. It was learned that the keeper-batter was told that he might miss out on international opportunities during the prime of his career. Hence, he agreed to make a return to the domestic circuit.
