India National Cricket Team wicket-keeper Ishan Kishan made a sensational comeback to domestic cricket while playing for Jharkhand in the Buchi Babu tournament. He set the stage on fire in the game against Madhya Pradesh, which took place at the India Cements Limited Cricket Ground in Sankar Nagar.
Ishan Kishan is captaining Jharkhand in the ongoing Buchi Babu Invitational tournament organized by the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association. The keeper-batter, who has been under the radar, for the last few months made sure that he silences all the critics with the bat on his return.
Kishan, who was the mainstay of the Indian batting lineup last year, was terminated from the BCCI's contract after he didn't agree to play in the domestic circuit. The keeper-batter opted out of the Indian team due to mental fatigue and after that, things didn't go his way at all.
Kishan was asked by the team management and the BCCI to feature in the domestic circuit if he had to make a comeback in the Indian team. The keeper-batter however, didn't agree to play as he continued staying out of the game and this didn't go well with BCCI.
But ahead of the domestic season in India, Ishan Kishan was approached by the BCCI selectors. The keeper-batter was told he might miss out on international opportunities during the prime of his career. However, after that, he made a return and ensured that he made an immediate impact.
Ishan Kishan was impressive with the bat for Jharkhand as he slammed a sensational century and made sure that he put his team in the top position. The keeper-batter came out to bat at No. 6 and completed his half-century in 61 balls and after that, he didn't look back.
Ishan Kishan then played a brutal brand of cricket and raced away to his century. The batter reached his century in just 86 balls. But what caught the attention of many was he slammed two back-to-back sixes to reach his century and announce his arrival in style.

Kishan ended with an innings of 114 runs off 107 balls. He batted with a strike rate of over 100 and also slammed 5 fours and 10 sixes in his innings. His knock ensured that the team got in the prime position and the ton surely would've lifted the monkey off his belt.
Kishan after the Buchi Babu tournament will be seen playing in the Duleep Trophy. The keeper-batter has been named in the India D squad and will be playing under the leadership of Shreyas Iyer in the tournament, which is all set to take place from 5th September.
The century in the Buchi Babu tournament would've given a lot of confidence to Kishan. After the ongoing tournament, he would be keen to make an impact in the Duleep Trophy and reclaim his spot back in the Indian team.
