A video of Team India fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah along with Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli from the Kanpur Test sparked discussions on social media.
Jasprit Bumrah left Virat Kohli and turned around to look for Rohit Sharma after the play was halted due to bad light on the opening day of the match.
Akash Deep was the best bowler for India on Day 1 in the second Test match at the Green Park in Kanpur. Bangladesh lost three wickets for just 107 runs before rain ended the final session. Jasprit Bumrah, who took five wickets in Team India's 280-run victory in Chennai, went wicketless on the opening day.
Bumrah began his spell by bowling three consecutive maiden overs. He kept Bangladesh opener Zakir Hasan guessing at the crease.
Bumrah induced 22 false shots and beat the batter six times in his nine overs on Day 1. However, he couldn't secure any wickets despite his impressive performance.
Jasprit Bumrah Ignites Social Media with Viral Clip
Jasprit Bumrah gained attention on social media despite not having the best day on the field. In a viral video from the Kanpur Test, fans dubbed him the "OG Ro kid." In the 29-second clip, Bumrah can be seen walking next to Virat Kohli as play was stopped due to bad light during the final session of Day 1.
However, the Team India fast bowling spearhead ignored Virat Kohli before turning to look for his captain, Rohit Sharma. Bumrah then walked up to him and engaged in a serious conversation while making their way to the dugout, with Rishabh Pant joining them as well.
The way Rishabh pant, jasprit bumrah, T Ashwin, Jaiswal, Jadeja and other players stay around Rohit Sharma, they consider him not only as their captain but also as their big brother.🥹🤍🧿

He made his international debut for India in 2016 and has played 54 matches under Rohit Sharma's captaincy. The duo played a crucial role in India's successful campaign during the T20 World Cup 2024 in June. Bumrah was named Player of the Tournament for his consistent performances.
Rohit Sharma Leads Two-Match Test Series 1-0 over Bangladesh
The Rohit Sharma-led team is currently leading 1-0 in the two-match Test series against Bangladesh after a significant 280-run win in Chennai. Ravichandran Ashwin earned the Player of the Match title for his impressive performance. Ashwin scored a century and took six wickets with the ball.
Following the Test series against Bangladesh, India will play a three-match Test series against New Zealand at home. The team will then travel to Australia for the five-match Test series later this year. They will also play a white-ball series against Bangladesh and South Africa before the Australia tour.
