Former Team India cricketers Ravi Shastri and Harbhajan Singh recreated the scenes during the iconic 2011 World Cup Final at the Wankhede Stadium when the then skipper, MS Dhoni, scored a six to take India over the line against Sri Lanka.
On the 11th anniversary of India’s previous World Cup victory, Shastri, who was the commentator in the closing stages of the glorious moment, enacted the scenario alongside Harbhajan during an IPL 2022 show.

“He is hungry and wants to come back to the side” – Ravi Shastri on Hardik Pandya
Speaking about the all-rounder, Hardik Pandya, Shastri stated that he was happy to see the drive in the 27-year-old to earn his place back in the Indian side. Hardik is leading Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2022 season.
“I was delighted after seeing him in the last match. I was looking at his body language and focus… his concentration levels and discipline were evident. His mind was totally in the game. He is hungry and wants to come back to the side.“
“Entire country will be happy seeing him bowl four overs. A match-winner like him is hard to find. If he finds his mojo, India straightaway become potential World Cup winners,” Shastri told ESPNCricinfo.
