No doubt he's going to have a big impact again - Kane Williamson on Virat Kohli
One of the members of the Fab Four and Virat Kohli's good friend, Kane Williamson, has backed the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) superstar to make a big impact on the fortunes of RCB in IPL 2025. He said that Kohli is highly motivated to end the title drought of RCB.
Williamson has also named Kohli as one of the top contenders to win the Orange cap alongside Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal.
"No doubt he's going to have a big impact again as he has done in almost every season of this tournament. I know he's extremely motivated with RCB to push for a title and I'm sure this season they'll be there or thereabouts," Williamson told media.
Kane Williamson further said that Virat Kohli's hunger and passion for the game are still at the very peak and the changes in his approach to the game won't have any negative impact on his effectiveness in IPL 2025.
"It's quite interesting as players kind of go into different stages of their career, different phases. He's obviously been on the scene for a number of years but his style perhaps adjusts a little bit. But the hunger remains and the passion remains and we've seen that in his performances recently as well," he added.
Notably, Kane Williamson went unsold in the Indian Premier League 2025 mega auction and he will be joining the broadcast team of Star Sports in the tournament.
