Watch: Rohit Sharma expresses his anger over Shubman Gill's dismissal in Rajkot

India captain Rohit Sharma expressed his disappointment after his batting partner Shubman Gill got out in the third match against England. The match between the two teams is taking place at the Saurashtra Cricket Association ground in Rajkot.

India won the toss and opted to bat first but it wasn’t a fruitful outing for them as they lost wickets early and were under immense pressure. Captain Rohit Sharma held the fort at one end whereas wickers at the other end kept falling as the hosts looked in deep trouble.

After Yashasvi Jaiswal got out, it was expected that Shubman Gill would set the stage on fire but it wasn’t meant to be. The batter looked extremely shaky and didn’t look good. He bagged a 9-ball duck and it worsened the case for India. It also didn’t go well with skipper Rohit Sharma, who was at the other end.

Mark Wood bowled a full and angling-in ball just outside off. Shubman Gill poked at it and the ball nipped away off the surface to catch a faint nick. Skipper Rohit Sharma at the other looked dejected at the other end and his reaction went viral on the internet.

Shubman Gill has come under the firing line yet again for his poor outing. He scored a ton in the last match to silence his critics. But has come under scrutiny yet again. With KL Rahul all set to come back, it won’t be a surprise if the batter gets dropped for the 4th game.

After Shubman Gill got out, Rohit Sharma along with Ravindra Jadeja bailed the team out of trouble and helped them score runs on the board. The duo first negotiated the tricky phase and made sure that they didn’t lose any more wickets. Once they got their eyes in, they took the game away from the opposition.

They now would be hoping to take the big lead and put the team in the dominating position. Ravindra Jadeja, who is playing at his home ground, has looked very settled at the crease and would be hoping to slam a big ton and give joy to his home fans.

With the way he is going Rohit Sharma is batting, he is looking all set for a big century. The hundred would remove the monkey off his back. The batter would want to double it up and take his team to the dominating position.
