Watch Suryakumar Yadav Again Snubs Handshake With Salman Agha In India Vs Pakistan Clash
PC: X

Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav has once again snubbed a handshake with the Pakistani skipper Salman Agha during the coin toss before the start of the India vs Pakistan Super-4 clash.

India are playing against Pakistan for the second time in this continental championship. The two Asian rivals first faced each other in a group stage game, where India dominated with both bat and ball. Kuldeep Yadav was the best player in that game, as India humiliated Pakistan with a comfortable 7-wicket victory.

Watch: Suryakumar Yadav continues no-handshake policy

The previous game marked Suryakumar Yadav ignoring the Pakistan skipper, Salman Agha, during the toss. However, what led to controversy was the snub of a handshake from Indian players after the conclusion of the run chase.

Usually, players are seen lining up for a customary handshake to honour the sportsmanship in the game of cricket and a mutual celebration of the win for any team. However, Suryakumar has continued to forbid himself from showing any courtesy to the rival nation. This is a silent boycott of the nation, marking the aftermath of the attacks on Kashmir's Pahalgam valley.

Pakistan has made just two changes in their Super-4 Playing XI

After the struggling win against the United Arab Emirates in their final group-stage game, Pakistan has made just two changes to their playing XI for the much-anticipated game against India.

The lower-order batsman Khushdil Shah is one of the two players to be dropped from the XI, while Faheem Ashraf makes a return to the XI. No other changes have been observed on the side. Unlike the previous India vs Pakistan game, they have played two frontline pacers this time.

Another change in the XI is the inclusion of batsman Hussain Talat, who might add some lower-order strength to the Pakistan batting unit, which has not looked very convincing in the tournament.

Pakistan made an abrupt change to the batting order; Saim Ayub demoted

Pakistan has had the biggest setback in the opening pair, as Saim Ayub, the much-trusted aid at the top, has failed miserably in this Asia Cup. He has produced three ducks, two of which are golden ducks, in the first three games of the continental championship.

However, due to his stunning antics with the ball, Saim Ayub cannot be dropped from the XI, since he is the highest wicket-taker for the team. To try out something new, the coach opted to send in Fakhar Zaman at the top alongside Sahibzada Farhan.

Fakhar helped Pakistan get off to a quick start, while he also smashed the great Jasprit Bumrah for runs before being dismissed off Hardik Pandya's bowling. Ayub, who came in at three this time, has produced some early runs and has broken his jinx of being dismissed for ducks. Pakistan have made a great start, as they took Bumrah for 34 runs in his 3 overs in the powerplay.
