The Indian team is stranded in Barbados after winning the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 due to Hurricane Beryl, which has halted flights in the Caribbean nation. Virat Kohli, who won the player of the match in the India vs South Africa final, shared the visuals of the natural disaster with his wife Anushka Sharma.

Virat Kohli shared the visuals during a video call with his wife and the video of the moment has gone viral on social media. Kohli, with other Indian teammates, is currently staying in a team hotel in Barbados as the hurricane has affected the flights' movements inside the nation.

Indian Team won the trophy on Saturday, June 29, and were expected to return to India soon. However, due to the hurricane, their charter plane could not land in Barbados in time. As a result, the Indian Team will return later than expected. According to reports, they will board the flight on Wednesday night and reach Delhi Airport by Thursday.

Meanwhile, Kohli came up with a match-winning knock of 76 runs in the India vs South Africa final of the T20 World Cup 2024. The right-handed batsman smacked 76 runs with 6 fours and 2 sixes after the team lost 3 quick wickets.

Batting from the 1st to the 19th over, Kohli helped the team to reach 176-7 in the 1st innings. He later won the Player of the Match award for his superb knock. Notably, Kohli struggled with his form in the Group and Super 8 rounds.

India crushed South Africa by 6 runs to capture T20 World Cup 2024

India outplayed South Africa by 6 runs to clinch the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 title. The Men-In-Blue piled up 176-7 in the first innings with the help of Kohli (76), Axar Patel (47), and Shivam Dube (27).

South Africa spinner Keshav Maharaj and pacer Anrich Nortje picked 2 wickets each. During the chase, Proteas lost Reeza Hendricks cheaply for 4 but his opening partner Quinton de Kock slammed a marvellous knock of 39 runs.

Later, Tristan Stubbs (31) and Heinrich Klaassen (52) also made crucial contributions with the bat. David Miller added 21 runs before losing his wicket.

However, South Africa could not get 16 runs off the final over of Hardik Pandya, who picked 2 wickets for just 8 runs to grab the victory for his team.
