Former England captain Michael Vaughan took a brutal dig at a Pakistani fan and reminded that the USA saw off Pakistan to reach the World T20 Super 8s.

Michael Vaughan's comments came after his former National team lost to South Africa in their second Super 8 game at the Darren Sammy Cricket Ground. The English contingent led by Jos Buttler had a very good chance of winning this match against the Africans but a fiery spell from Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje denied England the victory.

The brilliance showed by South Africa's bowlers was just amazing to see and it will be fair to say that they are true title contenders. The Proteas led by Aiden Markram, have good chances of entering the semi-finals with an unbeaten record throughout the first two rounds. They are currently among the 3 sides with India and Australia to not lose a single match in the tournament.

South Africa will be facing co-hosts West Indies in their final Super 8 game. England on the other hand, will be in a do-or-die situation when they face first-timers USA. Jos Buttler's side has no choice but to win the game if they are to go all the way to join the Africans in the last 4 stages of the tournament.

During the previous T20 World Cup edition in Australia, England had defeated India in the semis and something similar could be on the cards this time around. But only if they reach the Super 8s, which got complicated after yesterday's loss.

What happened between Michael Vaughan and the Pakistani fan

A Pakistani fan named Nawaz quickly took to X (formerly Twitter) and expressed himself after South Africa defeated England by 7 runs. He tagged former English captain and cricket pundit Michael Vaughan and tried to put some pressure on him because of the loss.

Nawaz asked Michael Vaughan, "What happened bro.." In response to the tweet, Vaughan didn't miss out and immediately reposted the tweet with his own thoughts. The former cricketer tried to remind him that when in Super 8s, each and every team faces good sides like the first-timers USA.

Michael Vaughan wanted to remind Nawaz that it was the Pakistani team that lost to the USA and failed to qualify for the Super 8s, not England. "When you make the Super 8s you play good teams .. Like the USA 👍" - Vaughan replied.

Can South Africa go all the way to win their first ICC trophy?

Following South Africa's victory against England yesterday, the question that is arising at the moment is whether or not they will be able to end their drought. A drought and a destiny, which is yet to be fulfilled and something that was not even done by the nation's greatest cricketers.

Can Aiden Markram finally become the first South African captain to help win their maiden T20 World Cup? Time will tell.
