Women's Ashes Series Preponed By A Week To Accommodate Upcoming ODI World Cup
Women’s Ashes series has been preponed by a week in order to give sufficient time to the travelling teams in the ODI World Cup to complete their mandatory 10-day quarantine.
The news was confirmed by Cricket Australia (CA) and England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB). It will now begin on January 20th and will have the same number of matches across formats.
Australia and England are scheduled to play three T20Is in Adelaide before heading to the Manuka Oval in Canberra for the solitary Test match. They will stay there for the first ODI before heading out to Melbourne to play the remaining two ODIs.
The ODI World Cup will be held in New Zealand and the country has strict quarantine rules in place. The ECB has also informed that there are no changes in the travel plans for the England women, who are scheduled to fly out on January 7, Friday.
