South African spinner Tabraiz Shamsi made a humorous remark about the Joburg Super Kings (JSK) on social media on Sunday. Tabraiz Shamsi stated that he wouldn’t be supporting the Joburg Super Kings in their match in the ongoing SA20 tournament.
Joburg Super Kings beat Durban Super Giants in a high-scoring thriller to secure a berth in the playoffs of the ongoing SA20 tournament. The Super Kings clinched the fourth and final playoff spot in the SA20. They chased down a 200-plus target on Saturday, February 3.
The Super Kings are set to face the Paarl Royals in the Eliminator on Monday. The Super Giants will take on the Sunrisers Eastern Cape in Qualifier 1 on Tuesday. The winner of the Eliminator and the loser of Qualifier 1 will engage in Qualifier 2 at the Wanderers on Thursday.
Keep Those Yellow Jerseys Far Away – Tabraiz Shamsi
Tabraiz Shamsi, representing Paarl Royals in the SA20, shared the humorous post on X (formerly Twitter). Ahead of the eliminator against Joburg Super Kings, Shamsi made it clear that he wouldn’t be supporting JSK, advising them to keep their yellow jerseys far away.

Joburg Super Kings Secures Victory In Do Or Die Match vs Durban Super Giants
The Super Kings made a strong start in the do-or-die game, restricting the Super Giants to 32/3 in the fifth over. However, the Super Giants posted a formidable total of 203/6, with standout performances from Jon-Jon Smuts, Wiaan Mulder, and Heinrich Klaasen.
Smuts (55) and Mulder’s (59) partnership of 115 runs in 70 balls set the stage for a substantial finish. DSG managed to score 67 runs in the last five overs of the match. Heinrich Klaasen smashed 40 runs on 16 deliveries with the help of three boundaries and as many sixes.
Faf du Plessis and Leus du Plooy provided a strong start, adding 75 runs in the PowerPlay. Du Plooy was on 15 off 10 when his catch was dropped by Keemo Paul at backward square leg. He went on to score an additional 42 runs, and he was dismissed for 57 off 47 balls.
Faf du Plessis played a brisk 29-ball 57 in the crucial match for the Super Kings. Du Plessis smashed seven fours and three sixes in his explosive innings. However, he was dismissed by Noor Ahmed when the team was 102 runs in just 9 overs during the run chase.
When 45 runs were required off the last 18 balls, Wayne Madsen and Moeen added 17 runs off the 18th over. Moeen Ali then smashed two sixes off Naveen Ul Haq in the penultimate over. Donovan Ferreira sealed the victory with two sixes in three balls when nine were needed off four balls.
