The flamboyant batsman Ambati Rayudu has done an exceptional job for Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2018. It helped him caught the attention of the selectors and all of a sudden, he was asked to bat at number 4 for the team. A lot of players were tested for that slot ahead of Rayudu, however, he immediately made an impact to cement his place in the Indian National Cricket Team.

Unfortunately, of late, he couldn’t repeat his Mojo, which is becoming a huge concern once again for the team. Meanwhile, his dip in form would certainly help three of the Indian cricketers in various ways.

Here are they:

3. Rishabh Pant:

The youngster would certainly get the benefit from the Rayudu’s poor form. If the Indian management asks Rayudu to sit out of the team, then, probably, Rishabh Pant is the obvious chance to get a go at the number 4 position. Pant has been called into the Indian team by snubbing Dinesh Karthik but couldn’t attract a place in the playing XI.

If he gets the nod and performs well in the upcoming three games against Australia, then, he would be the certain candidate for the upcoming ICC World Cup 2019, as a backup wicketkeeper.

2. Vijay Shankar:

Yet another player, who would be benefitted with the absence of Rayudu would be the latest hero of Indian Cricket Vijay Shankar. He displayed his batting skills in the recent opportunities he has got for the Indian team. If Rayudu fails to repeat his poor show, India might ask Vijay Shankar to take the role for the team.

Going with the form, Vijay Shankar could well make the most of the opportunity. Apart from his batting, the lanky cricketer is quite a helpful addition to the bowling department as well.

Another major player, who could be benefitted is the Karnataka flamboyant batsman KL Rahul. The right-handed batsman has gone through a lot in the recent past. However, he made the most of the opportunity in the 2-match T20I series and waiting to show his worth in the ODI format.

If Rayudu fails to bring his “A” game for the team, then, management might ask KL Rahul to play at number 3 position thus asking the Indian skipper Virat Kohli to bat at number 4.
