5 Bowlers Who’re Yet to Represent India, Can Clock Speeds Over 150 Kmph;  Cricket has changed leaps and bounds. Over the years, in fact, right from the start of the Indian cricket, we have witnessed the Indian team delivering great batsmen to world cricket but hardly delivered a pure fast bowler for obvious reasons. Players like Kapil Dev, Sunil Gavaskar, Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni and the latest Virat Kohli have created a huge fan base for themselves in the world cricket, as they are idolised around the world.

But, everything isn’t the same when it comes to the bowling department. Though we have numerous talented bowlers, who can do the trick in the middle, none of them received admiration like the batsman.

However, things aren’t in the same way at present. The current generation of cricketers showed that India can not only produce batsmen but also remarkable bowlers.

We’ve had pacers like Ashish Nehra, Zaheer Khan who could touch the 140-mark but this new generation of fast bowlers can bowl quick and bowl consistently quick.

In this piece, we figured out five fast bowlers who can clock over 150 Kmph but didn’t feature for India yet.

Five bowlers who can cross 150-mark, and are yet to feature in Team India:

5. Avesh Khan:

A robust young fast bowler has the ability to hurl at 145 kmph thunderbolts with ease. Following his debut season in 2012-13, he was sidelined for a considerable time with an ankle injury.

Since then, he has chalked out a detailed plan that has reduced the risk of a breakdown, as it provided him ample rest time and recovery.

The return from injury has seen him bowl even quicker touching 150 Kmph regularly. He is a typical modern-day fast bowler who has a lot of variations up his sleeves. He can bowl off-cutters, leg-cutters and can bowl a variety of slower balls.

He is in exceptional form with the ball and delivering goods more often than not for Madhya Pradesh in the ongoing Ranji Trophy. Avesh Khan was called as a net bowler during overseas tours but he failed to break into the senior team.

4. Shivam Mavi:

Shivam Mavi is one of the members of the lethal Indian pace department who lit up the U19 World Cup 2018 with some fiery bowling. He grabbed attention during his First-class debut in Uttar Pradesh’s fixture against Railways, grabbing four for 19 from eight overs in a game that finished in a draw.

He made his IPL debut against the Sunrisers Hyderabad. Mavi isn’t the tallest or the bulkiest bloke around but a fluid run-up and quick arms let him clock over 145 Kmph consistently.

Ek bar bouncer helmet pe laag gaya tha uske baad saab daar rahe the! Bohot maja aa rha tha (I once hit batsmen on the helmet and the guys who followed were really scared. I was enjoying it),” Shivam Mavi once said.

3. Tushar Deshpande:

Tushar is one of the few youngsters, who didn’t get much attention in Indian domestic cricket. The flamboyant cricketer from Mumbai bowls at an express pace but never caught the attention of the selectors, which is quite surprising.

Distinguishing himself from others, Tushar Deshpande can easily clock 150-plus with the ball. He already bowled incredible spells for Mumbai to guide them to victory.

However, with Shardul Thakur taking the limelight, Deshpande hardly got the chance to grab the eye of selectors.

2. Kamlesh Nagarkoti:

Nagarkoti made headlines during the U-19 World Cup more frequently. He served fiery spells to opposition batsmen marked with rapid pace, clocking regularly in the mid and late 140s and even caught the attention of the West Indian pace legend Ian Bishop.

Nagarkoti made his List A debut for Rajasthan in the 2016-17 Vijay Hazare Trophy and impressed in just his second game, bailing his team out with an unbeaten fifty and then rattling Gujarat with a hat-trick.

Nagarkoti isn’t the biggest bloke in any stretch of the imagination but a smooth run-up and a quick arm action help him generate lethal pace. His impressive performance in New Zealand earned him a bid at the IPL auction and the Rajasthan born lad was acquired by the Kolkata Knight Riders for INR 3,20,00,000.

He may not have earned the call-up but Prasidh Krishna is at the doorstep of receiving it. Prasidh is also a known name for Virat Kohli, who often brings his name out whenever the topic is about the rise of the Indian bowling.

“Prasidh Krishna has done well in the domestic arena. It is a great luxury to have this group of bowlers in all formats. Looking at the World Cup, we have enough options,” the captain said recently.

Even though he has leaked a lot of runs just as he did in IPL 2018, Prasidh has consistently hit great speeds in the 2019 edition of the tournament and the attribute has been highly impressive.

Having been coached by Glenn McGrath at the MRF Pace Academy in Chennai and Jeff Thomson at the Cricket Australia’s Centre of Excellence, Prasidh has seen it all in his little career.
