Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra has analyzed the upcoming clash of IPL 2020 between Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings in Abu Dhabi. Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings desperately need a victory under their belt as they are placed in eighth and seventh position in the points table. With regards to Chennai Super Kings, Aakash Chopra has questioned Kedar Jadhav’s inclusion.

Chennai Super Kings replaced Piyush Chawla with Kedar Jadhav for their previous game against Delhi Capitals. However, the batting all-rounder performed none of the roles as he did not get to bat or bowl. For his sharp underperformance against Kolkata Knight Riders, Kedar Jadhav faced intense criticism as he faced 12 balls for only seven runs.

With Dwayne Bravo set to miss the game against Rajasthan Royals due to groin injury, Aakash Chopra picked Josh Hazlewood to replace him. The 42-year old added that for playing Kedar Jadhav, they have to see his batting position since his current batting spot is futile for the team. Instead, Aakash suggested using a bowler to choke the opposition.

“Bravo is out, Josh Hazlewood is in according to me. Why are the Chennai Super Kings playing Kedar Jadhav? If they want to play him, then they will have to see his batting position because the number at which they are sending him, it is actually futile. Play another bowler and choke the opposition,” Aakash told in his Youtube channel.

Aakash Chopra underlined that if not for Jaydev Unadkat bowling the last over, Rajasthan Royals would have beat Royal Challengers Bangalore in Dubai. Having played well, for the most part, the Royals should not carry out any changes. The cricketer-turned-commentator stressed on the need for Sanju Samson to perform and reckons that Jos Buttler is batting very low in the order.

“RR was playing well in the last match and if they had not committed the one mistake of giving the 19th over to Unadkat instead of Jofra, they would have defeated RCB. So I don’t see much scope of a change in their team. Robin to open with Stokes now, things are changing. After that you send Samson but he needs to score runs. Then Steve Smith and Jos Buttler. I feel Buttler is batting a little too low down the order,” he added.
