AB de Villiers Ruled Out of Pakistan Leg of PSL

Pakistan Super League franchise Lahore Qalandars will be without the services of their talisman batsman AB de Villiers for the final leg of the tournament which will take place in Pakistan. The ongoing tourney is been played in UAE and the final four matches with qualifiers and finals are set to be played in Karachi.

AB de Villiers will head back home after the back problem. de Villiers was committed to playing two Pakistan Super League matches in Pakistan. However, the PSL matches were shifted from Lahore to Karachi after a recent political tension between Pakistan and India.

AB was in fine form.

Losing AB de Villiers is a big blow for the franchise. The former Proteas batsman had scored 218 runs in the seven matches. The right-hander has scored his runs at an impressive average of 54.50 and at a strike rate of 128.99.

Meanwhile, Lahore Qalandars will play their next match in the UAE when they will lock horns with table toppers Peshawar Zalmi on 5th March. The club is currently is at the fourth position in the points table after winning three out of the seven matches they have played. Peshawar Zalmi is at the numero uno position as they have won five matches out of the seven they have played thus far.

Meanwhile, AB de Villiers had sent shocking waves in the cricket world when he hanged his boots from the International circuit in May last year. However, AB de Villiers is still plying on his trade in the different leagues across the globe. He was also signed by Middlesex for the T20 Blast. Consequently, South Africa is going to miss de Villiers services for the World Cup.

On the other hand, the final of the Pakistan Super League will take place on 17th March at Karachi. The playoff stages will begin from 13 March.
