After UAE T20X Cancellation, CA Might Allow Steven Smith, David Warner in BBL

With the 12-month ban-period is on its way to conclude, ahead of the 2019 World Cup, it is obvious Steven Smith and David Warner will pretty much in the scheme of the things to be in the side. However, during the course, to remain closer to cricket, the respective cricketers have signed various deals across the globe, including UAE T20X.

Allow Smith, Warner in BBL – Stalwarts

Meanwhile, Steven Smith felt it would be a good opportunity for him to get back to his nick and then join IPL before making his way back to Australian dugout but it wasn’t the case.

However, the inaugural UAE T20X got cancelled, as the three of the five franchises haven’t got any buyers. Steven Smith is one of the stars, who is set to take the field in the brand-new tournament.

Cricket Australia might allow Steven Smith in Big Bash League:

The cancellation meant there would be no choice for Steven Smith to play the competitive cricket ahead of the IPL and the 2019 World Cup. Meanwhile, the former cricketers asked the respective board to allow the stalwart players to play in the Big Bash League (BBL).

The great Allan Border criticised the board for allowing Steven Smith and David Warner to play in various franchise tournaments. Instead, he wants them to play in the Big Bash League and help the youngsters to learn the tricks from them.

Hardly, there are four months left for Steven Smith and David Warner to conclude their respective bans. During the course, Cricket Australia will be pretty busy with the series against India at home.

Recently, Australian Cricketers Association has made a plea to Cricket Australia to cut short the bans on the trio. They felt that a lot of individuals are included in the incident and blaming only the trio isn’t a fair deal. All in all, it would be interesting to see how things would cope up for the former skipper.
