After Win In ODIs, Jimmy Neesham Reacts To Indian Fan Who Asked Him About His Feeling After T20I Series Loss

Not many would have given New Zealand a chance to win the ODI series after their  humiliating 5-0 thrashing in the T20I series. The Black Caps were low on confidence after the series loss and were also without some of their key players including captain Kane Williamson for the ODIs.

However, they defied all the odds and overcame all the obstacles to inflict a famous whitewash on their illustrious opponents. Despite missing the likes of Williamson, Trent Boult, Lockie Ferguson, the hosts did not have much problem in seeing off the Virat Kohli-led side.

On Tuesday, New Zealand thrashed India by five wickets to seal the whitewash. Asked to bat first, India posted a challenging total of 296 for 7 in the allotted 50 overs. They were reeling at 62 for 3 at one stage before KL Rahul’s century and Shreyas Iyer’s half-century powered them to a good total.

However, the bowlers failed to deliver once again as New Zealand chased down the total inside 48 overs. Openers Martin Guptill and Henry Nicholls gave the hosts another flying start by sharing a century-plus stand. Both the players went on to score fifties. New Zealand did have some hiccup during the chase when they lost five wickets in quick succession before a 21-ball fifty from Colin de Grandhomme sealed the deal for them.

Jimmy Neesham’s banter with fan:

As New Zealand were dominating India on the field, their allrounder Jimmy Neesham was busy not only on the field but also on Twitter. Jimmy Neesham came up with a hilarious reply when one Indian fan tried to taunt him by reminding him of the loss in the T20I series.

The fan took to Twitter to post a screenshot of Jimmy Neesham’s Facebook post where he posted about the ODI series win. The star allrounder not only posted a picture but also a caption followed by finger-on-the-mouth emoji. Taking the screenshot of that post, the fan wrote:

“Ooooo? How did it feel to lost (lose) the T20 series?”

And Jimmy Neesham then came up with his usual hilarious reaction as he wrote: “I literally don’t know.”

Well, the allrounder was not a part of the T20I squad that suffered the whitewash. Neesham, however, did express his frustration on Twitter whenever New Zealand failed to win the close games during the five-match series.
