Mumbai selectors have ignored Arjun Tendulkar from their off-season camp as they added seven more names to the list of players who will be part of the camp ahead of the domestic season.
Meanwhile, this comes as a surprise as he was recently part of the India U-19 squad that toured Sri Lanka. Although he managed to pick only wickets, he bowled some good line and lengths.
However, the Indian colts had a good time in Sri Lanka routing the hosts 2-0 in the Youth Test series. The batsmen did an exceptional job well backed by the bowlers throughout the series.
Moreover, Arjun has experiences of bowling to international batsmen. Last month, he was one of the net bowlers who bowled to the Indian batsmen in Ireland. Previously, Tendulkar has bowled to Indian players in nets. He bowled to Indian batsmen last year, ahead of the Mumbai ODI against New Zealand.
However, despite not being named in pre-season camp, Arjun Tendulkar will have an opportunity to make it to the Mumbai squad. A player can make it to the state squad on the basis of his performance in the state organized tournaments.
Rohit Sharma, Ajinkya Rahane, Shardul Thakur are few of the international players to join the camp. The seven players who are the latest addition in the off-season camp are Shubham Ranjane, Shashank Singh, Ankit Soni, Alpesh Ramjani, Parikshit Valsingkar, Prasad Pawar and Aditya Dhumal.
