Arjun Tendulkar Named In Mumbai Squad For Pre-Season Tournament

The son of the legendary Sachin Tendulkar, Arjun Tendulkar named in the Mumbai squad for the pre-season tournament. The squad, to be led by Suryakumar Yadav, was announced by the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) on its website on Monday.
The Bapuna Cup is a pre-season tournament organised by the Vidarbha Cricket Association. This year, it will be played in the 50-over format and will begin from September 5. Mumbai will also be eyeing the availability of big stars Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane as both of them are not regular in Test and ODI squads respectively. However, for now, they are relying on the youngsters of the team, who would play for India in the upcoming season of Ranji and other domestic tournaments.
Alongside Arjun Tendulkar, they named Aditya Tare and Sarfaraz Khan in their side for the upcoming tournament. The likes of Eknath Kerkar, Sufiyan Shaikh and Shams Mulani also found a place in the side alongside Akash Parkar and Shubham Ranjane with Kruthik Hanagavadi and Aditya Dhumal in the bowling department.
Jay Bista will be the regular opener while Raunak Sharma and Shashank Attarde are the other players to stay in the side for the tournament. Surprisingly, they missed out Shivam Dubey in the squad.
