MS Dhoni cannot do anything wrong while keeping behind the stumps. Dhoni effected a smart stumping of Afghanistan southpaw batsman Hashmatullah Shahidi. In fact, Dhoni took a reaction time of just 0.16 to dislodge the bails in a jiffy. It was a fine display of glovework from the Indian skipper, MS Dhoni when Kuldeep Yadav bowled a flighted delivery to bamboozle Shahidi. This was Yadav’s second wicket.

In fact, it was an imperative wicket for India as the southpaw batsman has scored 263 runs in the ongoing Asia Cup. However, the left-hander could not trouble the scorers in the match against India.

Dhoni is always lightning quick behind the stumps.

Meanwhile, MS Dhoni is leading India for the 200th time in his ODI career. India’s interim captain Rohit Sharma was rested and thus Dhoni has once again taken the captaincy reins for this match against the Afghan team.

Dhoni had also affected one more smart stumping of Javed Ahmadi as he took out the bails with the lightning speed. The Indian gloveman only had a reaction of 0.2 seconds to dismantle the bails.

Thus, Dhoni continues to be the king while keeping behind the stumps. In fact, Dhoni has now completed 111 stumpings which are the most for any wicketkeeper in 50 overs format. Sri Lanka’s Kumar Sangakkara is at the second place with 99 stumpings whereas Romesh Kaluwitharana had done 75 stumpings in his career.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Shahzad has been a lone warrior for Afghanistan. He has scored most of his team’s score as he is batting unbeaten on 96 runs. The combative right-hander has scored nine boundaries and a half-a-dozen maximums.

India has already qualified for the final of the tournament whereas Afghanistan is ruled out of the competition. Meanwhile, India has made five changes to their playing XI.
