India won the last match against Pakistan where Kedar Jadhav played exceptionally well, and Sunil Gavaskar feels he can play the all-rounder’s role for India. In the ongoing Asia Cup 2018, Jadhav could play a major role for the Men in Green.

India thrashed Pakistan by eight wickets in a one-sided match in Asia Cup 2018 group A match. Jadhav bowled remarkably well at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on September 19 (Wednesday).

Moreover, it was an excellent effort from the bowling unit that thrashed Pakistan by eight wickets. Men in Green were restricted to 162 runs within 43.1 overs.

Meanwhile, India only took 29 overs to wrap up the game. This was India’s one of the most comprehensive wins as bowlers rose to the occasion. After Hardik Pandya got an injury, Rohit asked Jadhav to deliver with the ball.

However, Jadhav came into the attack in the 22nd over of the game. He only conceded one run in his first over. After that, he bowled with proper line and lengths and stemmed the run flow.

Furthermore, Gavaskar said Jadhav had shown a role of an all-rounder. He played some excellent cricket against both Hong Kong and Pakistan. Gavaskar also added Jadhav bamboozled the opposition.

However, Jadhav did a fabulous job with his team and also gave an extra option to the skipper. India, if faces any trouble whatsoever with the main bowlers can get an additional option.

Sunil Gavaskar hints that Kedar Jadhav had made a strong case with the ball.

“Kedar has shown he can fulfil the allrounder’s role, like he did in the game against Pakistan as well as Hong Kong. Whether the opposition underrated his bowling or they get mesmerised by his various delivery points, he does a sterling job for his team and gives the extra option to the captain in case one of the main bowlers is having a hard day.” Gavaskar said.
