Asia Cup 2018: Russel Arnold Gets Trolled After Terming Sri Lanka as Favourites
Updated - 09 Sep 2018, 09:54 PM
Former Sri Lanka all-rounder Russel Arnold has been trolled severely on his Twitter handle after he predicted Sri Lanka to win the upcoming Asia Cup 2018 which is slated to be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from 15th September.
Of course, Sri Lanka has been quite brilliant in the Asia Cup campaign and has won five titles so far. But failed to dictate terms in the long run.
However, given their recent performances especially in the 50 overs format, the Islanders won’t start as the favourites under any stress of imagination.
So, without a doubt, they have some very good players in their ranks. However, their overall combination is not up to the level of the two other major teams India and Pakistan.
Additionally, Bangladesh and Afghanistan have also performed in the limited-overs format admirably in the recent past.
Sri Lanka … Sri Lanka … Sri Lanka and Sri Lanka ???? https://t.co/CgwCv965yW

Afghanistan has made giant strides in international cricket. But on the other hand, Bangladesh has also beaten several top teams in the last few years.
Some of the cricket fans came lashing down at Arnold and said that even Bangladesh and Afghanistan have better teams than Sri Lanka.
Furthermore, the opening match of the tournament will be played between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh on 15th September in Dubai.
In addition, Pakistan will meet Hong Kong in the second match of the competition. Meanwhile, the biggest game of the tournament will be held between India-Pakistan on 19th September.

Even if you say Sri lanka 100 times they are not gonna make it to the final.
Even Afghanistan is stronger than them.#AsiaCup— Chetan Kumar Meena (@chetanmeena6791) September 8, 2018
