It seems like Virat Kohli’s love affair with Adelaide continues to grow. Though he hasn’t fared well enough with his willow, Adelaide Test gave him a memory to remember, as the captain. Meanwhile, the Indian team never won the first Test of a series in Australia over the years; and it was the first time, which came under the captaincy of Virat Kohli

However, the Indian skipper is pretty much elated with the victory and showed what it means to him on the field. Virat showed his aggressive captaincy and executed his plans to the perfection to seal the memorable win in Adelaide.

Speaking of the victory in the post-match presentation, Kohli hailed the efforts of his bowlers and the knock of Cheteshwar Pujara. He felt the knock delivered by Pujara was priceless under such circumstances.

As it happened –

Initially, it was Virat Kohli, who won the toss and asked the home side to bowl first. India went with four bowlers by leaving out Hanuma Vihari to add Rohit Sharma to the setup, as they got Murali Vijay to work as a part-time bowler.

Meanwhile, the first couple of sessions were horrible for India, as they lost wickets on a regular basis. However, it was Cheteshwar Pujara, who stood tall in the middle to avoid the further hiccups. The India number three showed his class by knocking a scintillating 123 to his name.

However, the bowling section was equally impressive for the Indians. They knocked out Australians for a cheap score in the first innings to take the lead of 15. In the second run, it was once again, Pujara, who was among the run-scorers.

This time, Australians showed a lot of grit and determination in their chase, but the Indian bowlers were too good in their approach.

I just love what I script. Over the years, Cricket has been my passion and crisping articles on it gives me an immense pleasure...Cheers...!!!
