Australia vs India 2018-19: 2nd ODI, Adelaide Oval – Match Preview; After Australia convincingly thrashing Indians in the first ODI, now, its time for the second ODI clash in the series. The hosts and the visitors India will be locking their horns at Adelaide Oval to put fans on the edge of their seats. With the series result at stake, both the sides would love to engage in a hard-fought duel.

Indian batting will be the cynosure of the eyes:

India’s batting order did come under the spotlight at the Sydney Cricket Ground. The top three (Rohit, Shikhar Dhawan and Kohli) have enjoyed a fairly consistent run since 2016. With the kind of a form ther are in, none would have expected them to go off for a such poor scorecard on the board.

But, it took place right in the first ODI when Virat Kohli, Shikhar and Rayudu walked back for cheap scores. Dhoni showed resilience in the middle but failed to carry on, as the umpire adjudged him LBW wrongly. However, the knock from Rohit Sharma was a classic one and the biggest positive as well.

Meanwhile, the bowling department might also need a bit of change, as Khaleel Ahmed was quite expensive. The lads like Mohammad Siraj and Chahal are waiting in their wings to make the opportunity count.

Australians aim to end 2-year wait for a series victory:

Australians will enter into the game with massive confidence and the momentum on their side. They have displayed tremendous team effort to make things fall in place against Indians in the first ODI.

All their batsmen delivered the goods while bowlers looked quite happy to bowl at Indian batsmen. Peter Handscomb was the pick of the lot with his quickfire innings of 73 runs in 61 balls against India. His middle-order partner and all-rounder Marcus Stoinis hit 47 runs from 43 balls.

Both these batsmen along with Shaun Marsh (54 runs from 70 balls) are the core of their middle order and are once again expected to cause problems for the Indian bowlers. Usman Khawaja also looked solid at the top. The bowling department also looked rock-solid.

Changes:

India might bring Yuzvendra Chahal or Siraj into the playing XI. There is also a slight chance for Vijay Shankar to get the game. Meanwhile, Australians might look to bring in Mitchell Marsh. Adam Zampa also pressing his case.
