Indian National Cricket team opener Shikhar Dhawan seemed ecstatic to finish the tour of Australia with a broad smile on their face. Meanwhile, Virat Kohli & Co registered their first-ever bilateral series win as they beat the hosts 2-1 in the three-match series.

Going into the series-decider, both sides made few changes. But going by the results, India benefitted the most as Kedar Jadhav played a gem of a knock to see his side through. He (61*) along with MS Dhoni (87*) added an unbeaten 121 run stand for the fourth wicket to cross the rope with ease. Earlier, India lost both their openers with 59 runs before Virat Kohli and Dhoni added 54 runs to bail their side out in pursuit of 230 runs. Since Kohli (46) departed with still over 100 runs required, MS Dhoni found an able ally to see off the target.
