Former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly has hit back at Australia’s head coach Justin Langer for criticizing Virat Kohli. Langer has made a remark on Virat Kohli that Australian will be ‘worst blokes in the world’ if they celebrate like Virat Kohli. However, Sourav Ganguly asked Justin Langer to see videos of his former teammates who were the masters of sledging.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli is always pumped up after a fall of a wicket and likes to celebrate in his own way. On the other hand, Australian players have always enjoyed getting under the skin of the opposition.

Ganguly responds to Langer’s comments on Kohli.

Consequently, Ganguly asked Justin Langer to have a look at the videos of former Australian bowlers.

“I would like to say one thing to Justin Langer. He should watch old footage of Shane Warne, Glenn McGrath or Jason Gillespie from India’s previous tours to Australia and then say something,” said Sourav Ganguly.

Meanwhile, India is in a dominating position as they lead by 238 runs. Cheteshwar Pujara has scored another fifty and Ajinkya Rahane is looking good on 31. Thus, India is in driver’s seat and Ganguly is getting a whiff of victory.

India sees a win on the horizon.

“Yes, I can smell victory too. But India is still not totally safe and the first session on the fourth day will be crucial. For Australia it will be tough to bat out there in the last innings, “ said Dada when asked whether he too was sniffing a triumph for India on IndiaTV’s show ‘Cricket ki Baat’.

Ganguly believes wet conditions is going to help Australia as it had rained on Day three. However, Ganguly thinks anything above 250 is going to be hard for the hosts to chase down. Furthermore, Ravichandran Ashwin is going to be the big threat.

“Wet conditions can help Australia as it keeps the pitch from breaking down. So, India should look to take the game far away from Australia and post a sizeable lead. Anything less than 250 will be dangerous for India and the match can swing either way from there,” cautioned Ganguly.

Meanwhile, the Prince of Kolkata feels there is not much difference between Nathan Lyon and Ravichandran Ashwin when both of them play outside India. Lyon has an average of 34 in his home conditions whereas Ashwin averages a mundane 50 in the Australian conditions.

“In my opinion, today especially outside India, Lyon and Ashwin are equals. It’s tough to choose between the two as Lyon has proven his worth in Australia, a country which isn’t traditionally known for producing spinner-friendly wickets. Even in the Adelaide Test, Look at his consistency of lines and lengths. Kohli will also have to figure out why he gets out often to off-spinners like Moeen Ali and Lyon,” Ganguly concluded.

India will keep building their lead and would like to come up roses in the first Test match at Adelaide.
