South Africa was able to clinch the one-off against Australia by 21 runs. It was a delayed start to the game due to rain and the match was pruned to 10 overs per side. Australia’s skipper Aaron Finch won the toss and decided to bowl first. South Africa was able to get 108-6 in the ten overs after brisk knocks from skipper Faf du Plessis and Quinton de Kock.
The visitors were able to get off to a perfect start as they were to get 15 runs off the first over. However, the Australian bowlers were not able to hit the right areas. The Proteas was able to race to 42 runs in just three overs as Reeza Hendricks and Quinton de Kock batted in the topmost gear.

The Proteas clinches both ODI and T20I series.
In fact, all the batsman had the license to go all guns blazing from the get-go as there were only ten overs in the innings. Faf du Plessis was able to smack four fours whereas de Kock scored two maximums in his brisk knock. Reeza Hendricks scored three fours and one six in his 8-ball knock of 19.
On the other hand, Australia could not get off to an ideal start. The hosts kept losing wickets at regular intervals and lost five wickets for 43 runs. Thus, Australia could not get the impetus in their batting innings.

Glenn Maxwell was the lone warrior in the batting innings as the all-rounder scored 38 off just 22 balls. However, he could not find support from the other end.
Meanwhile, Tabraiz Shamsi was able to impress with his bowling as he gave away 12 runs in two overs to bag the Man of the Match. Chris Morris bowled a fine yorker to get the better of dangerous looking Chris Lynn. Morris scalped two wickets and conceded only 12 runs in his two overs.
Here is how Twitter reacted to South Africa’s convincing win:
So a T20 between #AusvSA gets reduced to a T10 at the beautiful Gold Coast, was super exciting. Looking forward to being a part of the original T10 itself. On my way to Dubai for the @T10League and hope to have a good 3 weeks with @MarathaArabians ! pic.twitter.com/PtAB92UjbJ

Proper bowling here! @NgidiLungi and @KagisoRabada25 setting the trend, and then @Tipo_Morris at his best again is so good to watch! Go on boys

Well done, South Africa. Batting first and winning a T10 game is rather tough it seems.
In the first season of the T10 Cricket League last year, only three of the 13 matches were won by the team batting first with the biggest margin of win being 27 runs. #AUSvSA

One thing I hate about man of the match is that it has to go to the winning side. Anyone watching this game can tell you that Glenn Maxwell is the man of the match. Ridiculously good in the field, economical with the ball and top scorer in the match. #AUSvSA

It's a pity that there's no one in their lineup to go along with Maxwell till the end. It's been there problem since departure of Warner & Smith. #AUSvSA

Fact remains, they are nothing without SMITH, WARNER & SANDPAPER!!! ???#AUSvSA #SSCricket

Aussies commentators 'We will win if Maxwell plays till the end.'
Maxwell gets out on last ball. Australia lose by 21 runs. ? #AUSvSA

Terrible batting from the Aussies. Looks like there is no one available for selection. Maybe a change in the backroom staff is needed! Something needs to change or it's gonna get worse! ?? #AUSvSA

Reeza Hendricks can hit 'em far. #AUSvSA
