After facing a defeat against Afghanistan in the ODI series, Bangladesh have suffered another blow. Pacer Ebadot Hossain has been ruled out of the 3rd and final ODI between Bangladesh and Afghanistan due to a knee injury.
Ebadot Hossain will also miss the T20I series against Afghanistan, which is scheduled to be played after the ODI series. The right-arm pacer faced a knee injury during BAN vs AFG 2nd ODI. The 29-year-old pacer left the match midway after bowling two deliveries of his last over in the match.

Ebadot Hossain Will Take Two Weeks To Recover
The Bangladesh team doctors said that Ebadot Hossain will take two weeks to recover from the injury. They also informed it is not a major injury.
“The MRI suggests that this is not a major injury. We expect him to recover in about two weeks time. He will remain with the team as he does his rehab.” Bangladesh team physiotherapist Muzadded Alpha Sany reveavled in an official statement.

Bangladesh is yet to announce a replacement for Ebadot Hossain in the squad. The Bangladesh pacer could not execute a brilliant show in the 2nd ODI. During his 9.2 overs, he picked 1 wicket and conceded 61 runs, registering a high economy of 6.50.
Afghanistan also won the match by 17 runs to outplay the home team Bangladesh in the ODI series with one more encounter to go. Afghanistan have won both the ODI games and lead the series 2-0. The Hashmatullah Shahidi-led side won the 1st ODI by 17 runs by the DLS method.
In the 2nd ODI, the visitors grabbed a rather huge victory by 142 runs. With centuries by openers Rahmanullah Gurbaz (145) and Ibrahim Zadran (100), Afghans piled up a gigantic total of 331-9 in 1st innings. Later, they bundled out Bangladesh for just 189, gaining an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.
Bangladesh vs Afghanistan 3rd ODI takes place on July 11 (Tuesday) at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram. Post the ODI series, two T20I games will take place on July 14 and 16. The venue of both encounters is Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Sylhet.
