Former Pakistan allrounder Abdul Razzaq is back with yet another absurd comment and another shot at Indian cricket. Ever since retiring from the game, the ex-cricketer has developed a knack of giving statements that make very little sense. Last year, he had said that he could make Hardik Pandya the best allrounder in the world if he gets the chance to coach him.

As if that was not enough, he decided to raise some more eyebrows with his disrespectful comments for India stars Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah. And in a recent interview, he has taken a shot at Indian cricket once again. This time around, the former allrounder did not talk about any player but instead decided to criticise the level of Indian Premier League (IPL).

While the IPL is heads and shoulders above other T20 leagues across the world, Abdul Razzaq believes that if a match between best XI of IPL and best XI of Pakistan Super League (PSL) is played, the team from Pakistan would win the contest.

“If a team of the best players from the Indian Premier League faced a team made-up of the best players from the Pakistan Super League, the PSL team would win,” Razzaq was quoted as saying by a Pakistani journalist Saj Sadiq.

Abdul Razzaq on Kohli and Bumrah:

Earlier, Abdul Razzaq had faced the heat for his comments on India stars Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah. While he called Bumrah a ‘baby bowler’, he said Kohli is a consistent batsman but cannot be put in the same category as Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar. He backed his claim by saying that there is a dearth of world-class players in modern-day cricket and there is no strength in depth for teams across the world, thus taking a dig at Kohli’s achievements.

“I have played against great bowlers like Glenn McGrath and Wasim Akram, so Bumrah is a baby bowler in front of me and I could have easily dominated and attacked him,”said Razzaq in an interview to Cricket Pakistan while speaking about Bumrah.

“If Virat Kohli scores, he scores. Yeah, he is a good player for them and is performing consistently, but you cannot place him in the same category as Sachin Tendulkar. He belongs to a different category,” he said about Kohli.
