Cricket Australia Announce Full Squad For Bushfire Bash

Cricket Australia (CA) has announced the complete squads for the much-awaited Bushfire Bash. It will be a charity game which will be played on the iconic Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) on Saturday (February 8). This welfare game will be played for the victims of the widespread bushfire that recently affected a major part of Australia including its capital – Canberra. The game will feature legendary cricketers including Ricky Ponting, Brian Lara and a lot more.

Apart from it, Windies veteran Lara also confirmed his participation on Friday. Apart from Yuvraj Singh and Wasim Akram, he will be only the third overseas player to participate in the charity match. This game is one of the good initiatives taken by Cricket Australia (CA), and it will subsequently serve as a uniting factor between the people and the sport.

Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar and the West Indies legend Courtney Walsh will coach the two teams.

Cricket Australia Announce Complete Squads for Bushfire Bash:

Australian legends Ricky Ponting and Shane Warne will lead the sides at the SCG. Apart from them, the match will feature a plethora of Australian legends taking part in the impending game. This includes former skipper, Michael Clarke, Adam Gilchrist, and Andrew Symonds. Steve Waugh and Mel Jones will also take part in a non-playing capacity and the funds raised from the game will be donated to the Australian Red Cross Disaster Relief and Recovery Fund.
