International cricket has witnessed plenty of batsmen adapting the aggressive brand of cricket. These batsmen in particular like to take the opponents from the word go and set up a momentum for the team. The fearless brand of cricket has also seen teams getting off to a flying start while there is a risk of losing wickets early.

In the past, Indian cricket has been graced with the likes of Virender Sehwag, who hardly cared about anything and took on the opposition from the opening over. Former New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum also played similar brand of cricket and in the present times Australia opener David Warner replicates them.

Australia opener David Warner can adjust his game according to the requirement of the team. But his natural gameplay makes him an aggressive brand of cricketer. The southpaw likes to step out to the fast bowlers from the very first over, thus, making his intent clear about his batting. Warner, who has been leading the charge for Australia at the top of the order, has hit seven sixes in the first over so far.

Former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi has a phenomenal record of scoring sixes in international cricket. In the all-time list of most sixes, across formats, Shahid Afridi is second on the list with 476 hits over the fence, only behind the West Indies legend Chris Gayle (534). Incidentally, Afridi also records nine sixes in the opening over in international cricket.

Former Australia wicket-keeper batsman Adam Gilchrist was a clean hitter of the ball and a joy to watch. He also used to enjoy stepping out to bowlers to take them to cleaners. He enjoyed a lot of success for his national team and also records hitting ten sixes in the opening over of international cricket across formats.

Sri Lanka benefited from the batting prowess of Sanath Jayasuriya at the top of order for a long time. His inside-out shots clearing the mid-on for a six was a joy to watch. In his decorated international career, Jayasuriya went on to hit 13 sixes in international cricket.

Virender Sehwag was known to give Team India a sublime start. Whether he scored 300 runs or a duck it hardly mattered to him.
