Racism has come to notice under microscopic level ever since the death of George Floyd in America. George Floyd was killed on May 25 in the Powderhorn community of Minneapolis, Minnestoa in the United States after an officer, Derek Chauvin, kept his knee on Flyod’s neck for nearly nine minutes.

His death brought many to the fore who have been targeted for ‘racism’ and former West Indies captain Darren Sammy was one of them. Sammy took to Instagram via a video message and said some SunRisers Hyderabad players called him and Thisara Perera ‘kalu’ during the 2013-14 season. His controversial remarks caused quite a stir in the cricket fraternity with fans giving their own opinions on the matter.
