Following the tour of Pakistan, the Sri Lanka Cricket Board axed as many as 10 members from the ODI team to recall the senior players. The Test skipper Dimuth Karunaratne takes the charge of the 15-man ODI Squad as well. It will be a three-match ODI series with Sri Lanka being the host country.

Danushka Gunathilaka has not been included in the 15-member squad announced by Sri Lanka Cricket on Wednesday due to a back injury while all-rounder Thisara Perera makes a comeback. The 15-man squad also sees the return of Niroshan Dickwella, who last played an ODI in March 2019 before being dropped for the home games against Bangladesh in July.

Kusal Perera, Dhananjaya de Silva, and Angelo Mathews, who chose not to travel to Pakistan made comeback into the side for the ODI series at home. Meanwhile, Shehan Jayasuriya replaced Danushka Gunathilaka.

Coming to the bowling department, Nuwan Pradeep and Lahiru Kumara will lead the charge while Isuru Udana will support them as one change. Wanindu Hasaranga and Lakshan Sandakan are the other two spinners added to the 15-man squad.

The three-match ODI series will start on February 22nd in Colombo before the action shifts to Hambantota on February 26th. The final ODI of the series will be played at Pallekele on March 1st before locking horns in a two-match T20I series.
