Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh was in awe of the recently concluded Ashes 2023. He lauded both Australia and England for setting the example for how Test cricket can be saved.

It’s fair to say that the Ashes 2023 was one of the best Test series in the recent past as both England and Australia went neck to neck with each other and left no stone unturned in entertaining fans. With the way both the teams played, both deserved to be winners and the series line of 2-2 justifies the result.

Almost every game of the series went down the wire and the scripted series was nothing but exceptional. England was bossing the first game at Edgbaston and needed just two wickets to win the first game but Australia skipper Pat Cummins played a miraculous knock and won the game for his team.

The second game at Lord’s was all about Australia but England skipper Ben Stokes almost did what he did at Headingley in 2019 and snatched victory from the jaws of defeat. But unfortunately fell short of just a few runs in the end to pave the way for visitors to win the first two games.

England then made a staggering return at Headingley and won the game to mark their first win of the series. They dominated the Manchester Test but unfortunately, rain played a spoilsport and cost them the match as well as the Ashes, which was retained by Australia.

However,  England came up with an inspired performance in the last game and won the game by 49 runs to level the series 2-2. The game went down the wire and Stuart Broad, who played his last series landed the final blow for his team to make sure that he ends his career on high.
