ENG vs IND 2018: Twitter Reacts as England Puts a Competitive Target on the Board

England was able to put a competitive target of 322 runs on board after electing to bat first in the second One-Dayer against India. The host’s had lost the first match. Thus, it is a must-win match for the English team.

The out of form Joe Root was able to return to form as the England Test captain scored a fine hundred. There was pressure mounting on Root. Therefore, it was a crucial inning for Root and he showed his class.

England was able to put a competitive target.

Meanwhile, England once again got off to a good start as both Jonny Bairstow and Jason Roy put together an alliance of 69 runs. However, Kuldeep Yadav was able to take two wickets in his first spell to halt the England innings.

England skipper Eoin Morgan and Joe Root were able to put together an alliance of 103 runs. The out of form Root was able to return back to his form as he scored his 12th ODI hundred. Morgan scored 53 runs off just 51 balls.

It was a fine inning from the Joe Root as he scored at almost run a ball. Furthermore, David Willey provided the finishing touches as he scored a quickfire 50 off just 31 balls. It was a much-needed innings for the hosts as it made a substantial difference to the England final total score.

On the other hand, Kuldeep Yadav was able to scalp three wickets in his 10 overs quota. However, the chinaman was expensive as he leaked 68 runs. Umesh Yadav, Hardik Pandya, and Yuzvendra Chahal were able to take one wicket each.
