After winning the T20I series, India will set eyes on the One-Day series against England, starting July 12th (Thursday) in Trent Bridge.

The tourists will take on England in the first of the three ODI’s in Nottingham. India went on to win the T20I series against England by 2-1 and thus would like to repeat their performance in the fifty-over format.

On the other hand, England has played some outstanding cricket in the ODI’s over the past few years. The Eoin Morgan-led team had thrashed the Australian team by a margin of 5-0 of late. Thus, the rank number one team in the format is playing at the top of their game.

Consequently, India will like to unveil their A-game to the table. Indian team has also played some great limited overs cricket, and they would want to deliver a strong performance.

The number four batting position will be once again under the scrutiny. KL Rahul is expected to end the musical chair game played by the team management, as he is in the form of his life. The flamboyant Karnataka batsman will like to grab his chance, as he would like to cement his place in the playing XI.

Meanwhile, the match will be played at Trent Bridge, Nottingham. England had scored a gargantuan score of 481 runs against Australia a couple of weeks ago at this very venue. Thus, the bowlers will be nervous, as they can have a bad day at the office and the batsmen would be licking their lips.

However, as the temperature has gone up in England, we can a expect a dry pitch. Thus, the spinners of both the teams will come into action. Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal had done an excellent job in the middle-overs, and they would like to keep providing the crucial breakthroughs.

On the other hand, Adil Rashid and Moeen Ali had a good series against Australia. Thus, they would like to keep their good show going against the potent Indian side. Meanwhile, both teams are batting heavyweights, and thus the bowling will play a crucial role.

Pitch Report: It is expected to be another run-fest at Trent Bridge which can be a nightmare for the bowlers. However, the dry pitch will get the spinners interested.
