Sunil Gavaskar, a part of IPL 2020 commentary panel, has reckoned that Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have an attractive and aggressive batting line-up ahead of their opener against Mumbai Indians on Wednesday. He also said that England limited-overs captain Eoin Morgan will add stability to the side.
Gavaskar is of the opinion that the experienced Morgan can prove to be dangerous in the middle-order. He also pointed out that Morgan can replace Dinesh Karthik as the captain for KKR if the team struggles to get off to a good start.
“Kolkata Knight Riders is such a team that has a very attractive and aggressive batting order. But the addition of Eoin Morgan to the middle-order has added more stability and experience to it. Thus, he can prove to be very dangerous,” Gavaskar said in an interview on Sports Tak.
“Even this can happen that if in the first four-five games if KKR do not start well, then Eoin Morgan can replace Dinesh Karthik as the captain of the side because we always have had that complex,” Gavaskar said.
2019 World Cup winning captain Eoin Morgan is fit and raring to go for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in IPL 2020. The English star had plied his trade for KKR from 2011 to 2013. He featured in over 26 matches during this period and contributed crucial runs to the team’s tally.
