Windies opening batsman, Evin Lewis has denied signing the central contract, confirmed by the board on Tuesday.
However, Cricket West Indies has announced its revised central contract list, but Evin Lewis, who found life in the IPL this year didn’t feature on any of the lists. The left-hander batsman now joins a long list of top players who have declined a contract over the years regarding a few issues.

Meanwhile, Jason Holder batsman Shai Hope, and pacers Kemar Roach and Alzarri Joseph received contracts for all formats.
Meanwhile, the red-ball contract has been given to eight players, whereas, Carlos Brathwaite, Ashley Nurse, and Rovman Powell have been given the white-ball agreements.
However, Evin Lewis also didn’t have the best time at the crease in recent times. He failed miserably for St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in the CPL 2018 where he started at the top with legendary Gayle. Moreover, Lewis scored a single half-century and 28 runs as his next highest score. The left-hand batsman ended up averaging just 11.45, scoring 126 runs from 11 matches at a strike rate of 117.75. Despite that, Cricket West Indies still decided to offer Lewis a contract thinking of his average of 33.06 and strike rate of 157.44 in T20Is.
In addition to that, Evin Lewis has scored 429 runs in 17 T20Is matches for the Windies with his best score being 125 not out. He has two hundred and also scored three fifty and earned the man-of-the-match award on four occasions.
