Veteran spinner Harbhajan Singh is looking all set to try his hands at a new adventure after registering himself for The Hundred. The Indian legend is the only Indian player to enter the draft for the inaugural season of The Hundred. The much-awaited tournament will kick-start in July next year.

The likes of Eoin Morgan, David Warner, Steve Smith, Chris Gayle, and several other big names are in the draft list. Harbhajan Singh, who is no more a part of the Indian team across formats, has put his base price at £100,000. He is one of the 25 overseas players on the list with a base price of £100,000 (US$124,000) or more. The much-anticipated draft will take place on 20 of this month in London.

It will now be interesting to see whether the BCCI gives Harbhajan Singh the green light to play in The Hundred. The board does not allow its players to play in overseas T20 leagues and the senior spinner is unlikely to get an exemption from the rules. Recently Harbhajan’s former India and Punjab team-mate Yuvraj Singh featured in Global Canada Twenty20. However, Yuvraj had to retire before playing the league.

According to a report in ESPNcricnfo, Harbhajan Singh is yet to consult the board. The report stated that he would approach the board only if he is picked in the draft. The news outlet also claimed that the spinner would not hesitate in retiring if that will be the only option left. He had last played for India in 2016 and is unlikely to get another recall.
