An incredible sight was witnessed on the field on Sunday when Multan Sultans and Lahore Qalandars locked horns in the second Eliminator of the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2020. Qalandars pacer Haris Rauf came up with an incredible gesture after dismissing veteran allrounder Shahid Afridi.
Qalandars beat Sultans by 25 runs to enter the PSL final for the first time. They will take on fellow first-time finalists Karachi Kings in the title-decider on Tuesday. For the Qalandars, David Wiese made the difference as he starred with both bat and ball.

He scored an unbeaten 48 off just 21 balls to power the Lahore-based outfit to 182 for 6 in the allotted 20 overs. His knock included five fours and three sixes. Qalandars’ were only on 123 after the end of the 16th over before Wiese provided the finishing touch with Samit Patel as company.
The two batsmen managed eight fours and three sixes between them in the last four overs which yielded 59 runs. In reply, Multan Sultans were all out for 157. Adam Lyth’s 28-ball fifty gave them a good start but they kept losing wickets at regular intervals and eventually fell short by 25 runs.

Harif Rauf’s apology:
Talking about the ‘apology’ incident, it took place in the 14th over when Haris Rauf castled Shahid Afridi for a first ball duck with a beauty. Afridi had premeditated his shot and shuffled across even before the ball was bowled. Haris Rauf, however, understood the former Pakistan skipper’s plan and went full.
And it was a stunning inswinging delivery that sneaked through Afridi’s legs before going on to disturb the timber. As soon as the ball hit the stumps, Haris Rauf apologised to Afridi with folded hands.
