'Imran Khan Was A Drug Addict'- Former Pakistan Teammate Sarfaraz Nawaz

Former Pakistan player Sarfaraz Nawaz has accused his former teammate and the current Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan of consuming drugs in his playing days for Pakistan. Notably, Imran Khan was one of the finest pacers in the history of world cricket during his stint in the international circuit.

Apart from being a fantastic fast bowler, Imran was also a very inspiring leader. It was under his leadership that the Pakistan National Cricket Team won the 1992 Cricket World Cup. Imran had fantastic credentials to his name during his stint. Imran had 362 Test wickets to his name and adding up to it, he also had 182 wickets in One-Day Internationals (ODIs).

Former Pakistan Teammate Accuses Imran Khan Of Consuming Drugs

Former bowler Sarfaraz Nawaz has claimed that he has seen Khan consume drugs in 1987. Nawaz went to disclose the details also and said he has seen Khan consume Cocaine as well. The duo were Pakistan’s premier fast bowlers during the late 1970s and 1980s. A Pakistani video that has gone viral on the internet also shows Sarfaraz talk about, how he is not the lone witness to Khan’s antics, and that if the claims are false, then the former should drag him to court.

Sarfaraz spoke about an incident in 1987, during a match between Pakistan and England when Khan’s performance was not up to the mark. He recalled how Imran had come to his house in Islamabad and consumed drugs after his meals.

Imran Won’t Be Able To Deny: Sarfaraz Nawaz

“He also snorts something,” Nawaz said during the interview. “He (Imran Khan) has been consuming cannabis, he used to do it in London and even at my home. In 1987, when Pakistan faced England in a cricket match and he did not bowl well, he had come to my house and said along with Mohsin Khan, Abdul Qadir, Salim Malik in Islamabad for a meal and also consumed charas,” said Nawaz in the video.

“He also snorts something and consumes cocaine as well. In London, he would roll something and snort it. Bring him in front of me and let’s see if he denies it. I am not the lone eyewitness, there are many in London,” he added.
