The much-anticipated rivalry between India and Pakistan have been cut-short due to political tensions. India last toured Pakistan in 2018, winning the five-match ODI series 4-1. Since then, the ties between the arch-rivals has only been kept limited to the ICC events, with the global governing body making sure that both the teams are given the same pool or group to make the tournament all the more exciting.

There have been discussions about resuming the India-Pakistan bi-lateral series but no positive outcome has emerged from it. Former Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed, however, believes there is a lot of love between players from both the teams off the field.

“Of course, there is this thing that people from India and Pakistan are quite passionate about Cricket and have loads of love for the game. I have personally seen that there is a good friendship between Pakistani and Indian players,” Sarfaraz Ahmed was quoted as saying  CricTracker.
