Australia’s captain Aaron Finch feels he is nigh to return back into form. Finch hasn’t been at his best in the recent past and the right-hander believes he is close to getting back into form. The right-hander hasn’t got a fifty in the last 19 limited over matches. Thus, Finch’s form is a cause of concern for the visitors as they will want their captain to lead from the front with the bat.

Finch feels he is a couple of balls away from striking form. The right-hander has made some changes to the batting technique. Hence, Finch believes he is one good knock away from finding his Midas Touch. Finch hasn’t been able to provide a good start to his team and he will like to get back into form before the World Cup.

Australian captain is close to getting back his Midas Touch.

“The changes that I’ve made are really close to happening,” Finch said.

“It could be one ball, could be two balls and you get in the middle and everything snaps back in and you start to feel good and get the flow back again.

“I’m really confident going into this series. It might sound strange after missing out for quite a while, but I feel really comfortable where my game is at, where it’s going and at times you’re prepared to wear a little bit of short term pain for long term game.

“This has been a bit longer pain than I would have hoped for.

“I can see that it’s all going in the right direction and I feel really good about the next two series in particular.”

Meanwhile, Aaron Finch believes he has not made big changes to his game. Finch had failed to hit the ground running in the red ball version. However, the right-hander clarified he didn’t make the alterations in his game after a flop show against India in the Test series.

“There’s nothing drastic about it; a few movement patterns,” Finch said.

“At times if you’re looking to change something you start thinking about that when you’re batting and international cricket is hard enough without giving the ball 100 percent of your focus and having to worry about where your feet are going, where your head’s going, what your back-lifts doing, anything that can cloud your mind.

“It’s a really difficult game.”

Finch will like to end his lean patch as he is going to play a crucial role for Australia. The right-hander will like to provide a good start to end his runs drought. Finch is a quality player and he will play his 100th ODI for Australia. The right-hander will become the 29th Australian player to play hundred ODIs.

The first ODI will take place at Hyderabad on 2nd March.
