Indian National Cricket team skipper Virat Kohli is looking forward towards the next tie against Australia as he sets off for Nagpur alongside pace machine Mohammed Shami. Meanwhile, the men in blues after humiliating loss in the T20Is returned to winning ways beating the Aussies by six wickets at Hyderabad.

Batting first, Australia could manage to post only 236 runs on the board after a good show by the Indian bowlers. Mohammed Shami was the pick of the bowlers for the home side returning with two for 44 in his full quota. The Bengal pacer was spectacular with the new ball posing all sorts of questions to the Aussie openers. It will be a massive boost for the Indian team ahead of the World Cup. The Bengal pacer has come up the ranks to be the third seamer of the side.

Dhoni steers India home

Despite Usman Khawaja (50) and Glenn Maxwell (40) tried to bail Australia out, Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav put things to check with timely wickets. During the chase, India lost a few wickets early on, but Dhoni’s love affair with Australia in the 50-over format continues. He’s notched up four fifties in four matches this year, and the Aussies don’t seem to find a way to dismiss the 37-year-old. The biggest positive though for India has to be the way their middle order performed under pressure. Yes, Rayudu at No. 4 didn’t fire, but Kohli & Co. is likely to give him more chances in the upcoming matches. Kedar Jadhav also played a significant hand scoring 81 off 87 balls to bag the man of the match award.
