Team India have retained the same squad for the first Test for the second and final Test against Windies starting from October 12 (Friday) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad.

Meanwhile, India are currently 1-0 up in the series with their dominant win at Rajkot by an innings and 272 runs. Virat Kohli & Co will aim to put in a similar effort in their last Test ahead of the Test series against Australia.

While Prithvi Shaw will look to continue his form it will be another opportunity for KL Rahul to get some runs. It will be pivotal for him to get some runs under his belt ahead of the tour to the Down Under. With Shikhar Dhawan and Murali Vijay dropped, Rahul needs to score big and cement his place in the playing XI.

The middle-order remains the same and the management is looking for a similar kind of order against the Aussies. While Cheteshwar Pujara and Virat Kohli scored big in the first Test, Ajinkya Rahane missed out despite getting a start. He needs to score a daddy hundred to get his confidence back in place. Unfortunately, Mayank Agarwal misses out despite strong performances in the domestic circuit.

Prithvi Shaw, Aakash Chopra

India continued their same bowling line-up from the first Test against Windies relying heavily on their spin trio. They did a fair job with the ball with Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin’s batting an extra advantage. Mohammed Shami and Umesh Yadav will share the new ball as they have done over the last few years.

The hosts will aim to finish the series on a high and go to Australia oozing with confidence.
