India vs Windies 2018: Harbhajan Singh Lauds Prithvi Shaw for his effort in his maiden test

Harbhajan Singh showers words of praise on debutant Prithvi Shaw for his masterful batting on Rajkot track against the Windies. The veteran off-spinner congratulated the youngster for his maiden fifty in Test cricket.

Earlier in the day, Prithvi Shaw became the 293rd player to make Test debut for India. The classy stroke player looked quite confident without any pressure nerves while walking into the middle in Rajkot.

The veteran off-spinner tweeted congratulations for Prithvi on his debut and gave his accolades for the first fifty. Further, Harbhajan showed his optimistic side on the youngster reaching the greater heights.

Digging into the tweet of Harbhajan Singh for Prithvi Shaw, it read ”Fifty on his test debut! Way to go young man! @PrithviShaw.” The fans too joined Harbhajan Singh to give their appreciations for the youngster.

He once again made his way to twitter when Prithvi Shaw blasted a brilliant century. He tweeted saying ”What a moment! 18 years of age, debuting for India’s test cricket squad and scores a century! Well done Prithvi Shaw!”

Prithvi Shaw enters into the records’ list:

The 18-year-old youngster attained many stats even before taking his batting guard at the crease. He became the fourth youngest batsman to make the Test debut for India. It was the list that was headed by Sachin Tendulkar.

Meanwhile, he is the 293rd player for India and became the third youngest to register maiden Test fifty. However, the first place is held by Sachin Tendulkar who was followed by Parthiv Patel.

All in all, as Harbhajan Singh said, there is a long way to go for Prithvi in the Indian cricket. if everything falls in place for the youngster, one can see him attaining greater heights for team India.
