After a long time, BCCI selectors gave the nod to Mayank Agarwal to represent India at the national level. However, the wait continues for the youngster, as the team management is not ready to hand him the debut. Meanwhile, Twitterati can’t see the logic behind benching Mayank Agarwal for the second Test.

Clearly, BCCI stated that they will be looking at the series against Windies to test their players for the Australian tour. For the same, they had called Mayank Agarwal and retained Prithvi Shaw to test their skills ahead of the Australian tour.

Mayank Agarwal and Mohammed Siraj were left out:

Earlier, as it was the first match of the series, India went with the regular opener KL Rahul and handed a debut to Prithvi Shaw. The 18-year-old prodigy knocked a scintillating hundred on his debut game at Rajkot. On the other hand, KL Rahul could not trouble the scorers.

With only one Test match left ahead of the Australian tour, it was a good a best chance to test Mayank Agarwal’s calibre at international level. However, it wasn’t to be the case with Indian Team management.

Once again, they announced the same 12-member list for the second Test as well with Shardul Thakur being the 12th member. Initially, it was also expected that Mohammed Siraj would get his debut hat at his hometown Hyderabad.

Meanwhile, Twitterati, who are unimpressed with the announcement showed their other side to the team management with their strong words on the social media platform.

Coming to the game, it will be played on October 12th at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad. Meanwhile, Team India will head into the game with an unassailable lead of 1-0. In the meantime, Windies need to play out of their skins to draw the series. All in all, an intriguing game is inthe store.
